Easy Sheet Pan Taco Pizza

My family has an obsession with pizza. We love pizza any and every which way you can imagine. (Like this BBQ Chicken Pizza.) I would say some version of pizza whether homemade or takeout is in our regular meal rotation. The more homemade the better and when the traditional pizza just doesn’t cut it, time to mix it up! As the saying goes, “variety is the spice of life”.

Grab a slice of the ultimate Sheet Pan Taco pizza.

This is where I take 2 of my family’s favorite foods, combine them, and cook them on my favorite pan…the sheet pan. Pizza + tacos + sheet pan = deliciousness. You can’t go wrong.

Super easy and deliciously cheesy Sheet Pan Taco Pizza.

The sauce for this pizza is the key. It’s that guilty pleasure we see people walking around with at events that have concession stands. You know what I’m talking about. It’s the one food you just have to have…nachos. Let me tell you, the cheese sauce is more than just a dip for chips. It’s the perfect sauce for pizza.

You can pick your toppings but the sauce has to be Ricos for this ultimate sheet pan taco pizza.

Ricos Cheese in a can is my favorite brand. Did you know you can actually buy this guilty pleasure at your local Walmart? You don’t have to wait for the next concession stand to order nachos. Check out the options you can find at your local Walmart.

This recipe calls for a specific cheese that totally makes the perfect sauce. The Gourmet Nacho Cheddar Cheese Sauce makes The Ultimate Sheet Pan Taco Pizza perfect. You can pick your toppings but the sauce has to be Ricos.

Easy Peasy Pleasy Tips

  • In anticipation of this post I used one of my favorite tips. I cooked a double batch of taco meat (2 pounds ground meat cooked with 2 packages of taco seasoning) last week. One pound of cooked seasoned taco meat was used for that dinner. I saved 1 pound of cooked seasoned taco meat for this recipe.
  • Anytime I cook meat for tacos, I cook a double batch and save or freeze for another meal.
  • Use refrigerated seasoned taco meat in a few days or freeze.
  • Thaw frozen seasoned taco meat in refrigerator and use immediately.
  • You can make this recipe vegetarian by eliminating the taco meat and use refried beans instead.

Win over your family and friends with this easy weeknight meal or game day recipe. The ultimate sheet pan taco pizza is perfect for feeding your family or a crowd.

Hi Claire! You’ve found your next Saturday night pizza. Add or take off any of the fresh toppings to your boys liking.

Great question! I have found that the thin crust refrigerated pizza dough works best. The tube is wider so the crust is super close to the width of the pan already. It just needs to be stretched to the length. Also original crusts will work but they take a bit more finesse when stretching. If you let the dough set at room temperature for a bit, it will stretch and hold it’s stretched shape. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good eating Rick and thanks for stopping by!
