I recently had my girls over for brunch and made this super easy Strawberry French Toast Casserole. It was oh so good with a smooth custard and the hint of strawberries. I needed a drink that would pair well with this dish. I know mimosas are the traditional drink for breakfast but since it was brunch, I wanted to jazz it up. Why not have your drink and eat it too?! Wine infused fruit is the way I did that.
My step dad loves to make wine so it was only fitting for him to send along a bottle of homemade wine with my mom. Fruit was already on my brunch menu so why not pair the two. All I needed was a few more ingredients and the choice of drink was decided….Sangria!
No shortage of taste testers here. Say HI to my good friend and my mom. I love them and they loved this super easy Deliciously Fruity Sangria Recipe. What’s not to love about only 5 ingredients?
Keep in mind you don’t have to use homemade wine. You pick out a red wine you love to drink. It doesn’t have to be super expensive either. The fruit you decide to use will add those flavor notes you want in your drink.
By the way, I’m in love with the Thyme & Table products. They made my brunch super classy. Guess what??? You can finds these products at Walmart. You don’t have to spend a fortune to make it look pretty.
