Entertaining should be fun and not a hassle, right? I agree! My favorite part of entertaining is the food. Sometimes, I may stress myself just a bit over the menu. Ok, who am I kidding, I may stress myself a lot. The cooking prep work isn’t what gets me stressed. (I like to make that part as easy possible.) It’s usually coming up with what to cook next. I hate when I get in a food rut. That’s where my idea of a Panini Salad Bar was born. Easy prep and delicious food equals more fun with my friends!

It’s nice to be able to keep the menu fresh, especially when you feed the same people over and over again. You know what I mean. You have that core group of people that eat your food all the time. I see it as a bonus when I can offer up something new. It’s especially nice when it’s super easy to prepare and the guest can get involved too. That’s why I love this idea of a Panini Salad Bar!
Panini’s are one of my favorite ways to eat a sandwich. What can go wrong with meat, melty cheese and tons of toppings between two pieces of bread?! Nothing I tell you…nothing at all! It’s like having a loaded salad on top of two huge toasty croutons. Can you say delicious?! Oh, and how about that salad? I’ll take a loaded up salad any day! I literally took the ingredients for a salad added some good bread and made a Panini Salad Bar.
The best part…you can have all the ingredients ready ahead of time, set up the table right before the guests arrive, then let them customize their own salad and panini. Use your favorite dressings and toppings and you’ve got yourself a Panini Salad Bar! One of my favorite dressings to use on a panini or salad is my Honey Mustard Sauce! You can find the recipe by clicking here.
Maybe you don’t have a Panini Press…that’s ok too! You can toast up the sandwiches in a toaster oven or even on a skillet like a grilled cheese sandwich.

I love the idea of letting your guest get involved in customizing their panini and salad the what they like! You can’t go wrong when the people eating the food pick the ingredients. Oh my word, you should have seen the crazy concoctions that my friends came up with. I really didn’t think the combinations would work but everyone found that adding their favorites made for some tasty eats! You can add as many or less items to this Panini Salad Bar as you would like. It’s totally up to you!
Seriously, you can’t get any easier than this idea! I have a feeling that this is the setup I’m gonna use at my next Superbowl Party! The adults and the kids love the paninis so I know it will be a crowd pleaser!
