Y’all will never believe how I made this Bacon and Egg Fried Rice! Have you ever had an amazing Chinese take-out meal for dinner and then had an overabundance of those small soy sauce packets left over? We always have a drawer full and I’ve finally figured out what to do with them when the takeout is gone.

Bacon and egg fried rice is the perfect way to use up those restaurant soy sauce packets and bonus: it’s a perfect use for leftover rice as well.
Another pantry staple I always have on hand is rice. A tip I am forever sharing with my mom friends is: preparing a big batch of rice at the beginning of the week makes for quick and easy weeknight meals. Using rice in different meals and recipes changes dinner time up even when you’re enjoying it multiple times during the week.
Using leftover cold rice is ideal when making fried rice because it keeps the dish from getting soggy and retains that “chew” we’ve come to love with fried rice recipes.
Bacon and Egg Fried Rice, a Chinese inspired dish, is a perfect brinner choice. Breakfast for dinner is always a fun and special treat for our family because breakfast time is usually can be a grab-n-go event as we get started on school and work.
There’s no need to haul out the huge bottle of soy sauce for this. My fried rice recipe takes only three tablespoons of soy sauce and that can be easily managed with just a couple of soy sauce condiment packets.
If you are lucky enough to have leftovers, it’s great the next morning, too! Warm it up with just another soy sauce packet to add a bit more moisture to the rice. You can reheat leftover bacon and egg fried rice quickly with the microwave if you’re in a hurry. To reheat rice and re-crisp the bacon, throw the leftovers in a pan and reheat on medium heat with a splash of soy.
