So, I’ve been a bit under the weather lately. My wonderful mother and friends have offered to bring me soup, but I declined. No way would I expose anyone to this awful crud! The one bright spot…I started craving Chicken Chipotle Corn Chowder. I must say…I haven’t always been the biggest soup fan. In the past, soup would be at the bottom on my list of things to eat. That is, until my sister in law introduced me to this recipe years ago. I officially became a soup defector right then and there! I love love love this soup and have been making it ever since! It has definitely made me feel better this week! Thank you Brandy!

Bacon Cauliflower Salad…I bet I had you at bacon!
I love anything with bacon! My husband isn’t a big fan of cauliflower but he absolutely loves this salad! He actually will go back for a second helping. I have a feeling it’s all because of the bacon. This Bacon Cauliflower salad is the perfect make ahead addition to your next cookout, potluck, or holiday. I promise it will be a hit…even with those that aren’t fans of cauliflower.
Cauliflower is one of those versatile foods that can really take on the flavor of what it’s mixed with. This salad gets devoured anytime I serve up this dish and it will feed a crowd. Continue reading

If you’ve ever seen the movie Identity Thief with Melissa McCarthy you will totally get this title. If you haven’t…well…my milkshake is better than yours! LOL!
Actually…my sister-in-law Brandy and I were chatting one day about recipes. Brandy said they had made the most delicious milkshakes ever using something out of the ordinary. I just had to know what it was! I must say, it’s a pretty brilliant idea! I mean really…why have I not thought of this yet?!
Don’t let that leftover grilled chicken go to waste…make BBQ Chicken Pizza!
We are pizza lovers in my household! Whether it’s take out, our favorite pizza stop, or homemade, we will eat it! I make all kinds of pizzas from really easy semi homemade to fairly easy from scratch. One of my favorite types of pizza to make is the kind that uses up the leftovers. As you know, I’m all about making my life a little easier. I figure, if I’m cooking up one meal, I might as well cook up a little extra to make it double duty. I just love being able to take something made earlier in the week and transforming it with ease (cause it’s already cooked) for a meal later in the week. Continue reading
What do you want for dinner tonight honey? My husband’s most requested meal!
I kid you not! Every time I ask my husband what he wants for dinner he always says Greek Steak pitas. I could probably get away with making this meal 3 or 4 times a week. If you love steak, you’ve got to give this one a try.
How To Add And Embed A Printable Recipe To Your WordPress Blog
Since starting a new blog, I have spent hours scouring the web for any and all tips I could find. There are so many things to learn. I figured if I was searching for this info then someone else out there might be too. In this post I will explain how to add an embedded recipe to your WordPress.com blog using shortcode. Using this shortcode will help set your recipe apart from the rest of your blog post.

Easy Peasy 2 Ingredient Cinnamon Roll Apple Turnovers
So, my mom decided to come for an impromptu overnight visit this weekend with my niece in tow. I told my mom I had some canned cinnamon rolls we could make for the kids as a quick breakfast. (I’m currently working on redoing a wicker couch and can take a little help from a quick can of cinnamon rolls.) Since my mom is so creative and a plain old can of cinnamon rolls was just too boring, it’s time to think outside the box! I asked if my mom could come up with a fun way to cook cinnamon rolls. Something a little more creative than just placing on the pan and baking. Immediately we both spouted off two totally different ideas. Today in honor of my mom’s visit over the weekend, I want to share her creative twist on a can of cinnamon rolls. Continue reading

Trying to eat lean is no new concept to me. It’s definitely a battle of the wills. Sometimes that skinny girl stuck inside me comes knocking at my brain just begging for a chance. She might not stick around long but while she’s here I figure I better post what’s she’s cooking…Greek Grilled Chicken Pitas!
