Welcome to Funtastic Friday Link Party #88! Who wants to play high low? There’s nothing to it really…just a fun way to share your high and your low for the week. I thought it would be a great way to get to know each other better. My high for the week is…The kiddo started school on Monday and he has been excited to go everyday. Blessing! My low for the week…it won’t stop raining! It’s been raining for 5 days straight. I told the kiddo that this must be what it’s like to live in Seattle. What is your high and low? Leave it in the comments. I can’t wait to hear from you!
It’s back to school time y’all! This year my kiddo starts middle school. What this means, he heads off to a new campus with new teachers and a new schedule. Don’t let me get started on how nervous this makes me. On the other hand, the kiddo is extremely excited…I think it’s the locker. Another big change this year…I’m taking a back seat as an officer on the PTO. After years of big ideas, I want to focus more on ideas straight from a parents point of view. I want to get creative and think of the little things that put smiles on the teacher’s faces. With that being said, I’ve come up with some super cute free printable teacher gift tags and a fun gift idea.
My parents bought a “new” house last year and have been making it a home ever since. I absolutely love everything about their new place. One of the best parts, I’ve been able to help my mom with lot’s of the decorating. Which in turn, ultimately, means spending a ton of time together. Who doesn’t love that?! Through this journey together we are always keeping our eyes out for the perfect decor pieces that would look great for her home, be it old or new.
I can picture it now…a virtual high five or maybe a big banging fist bump after you read this recipe! This deliciously easy Salisbury Steak Bake is going to blow your socks off with a comfort food taste explosion. Plus, you are going to absolutely love how easy this delicious recipe is to make. Salisbury steak is one of my childhood comfort foods. It’s that one thing my mom always made that carried over into my adult life. (The three ring circus loves it now too!)
Recently, I had a great friend of mine share, with me, the way she makes this amazing comfort food. I loved the simplicity or should I say…the not having to stand over the stove part. I’m all about being able to prep a meal then throw it in the oven and walk away. This recipe will save you time in the kitchen and the flavor will still be absolutely amazing!
So, this past weekend the “3 Ring Circus” (that’s what I lovingly refer to as my family of 3) hit the road to visit my brother and his family. One of the things that made this trip so special was the fact that we got to stay on their houseboat. Boy, did we have fun! If you’ve ever been boating or anywhere that requires food in a cooler you know it is essential to make the food count. I am always looking for ways to make the food on the boat delicious, easy, and no cleanup. We are all trying to eat a bit healthier right now. So for this trip, I put my thinking cap on and came up with these Easy TO GO Salads. From salad, to container, to cooler, to trash. Nothing to carry home for cleanup. You are gonna want all the details!
Squash, squash, everywhere squash! You may be growing your own or have a friend or family member with it coming out of their ears. (I love this because I’m always sent home with a bunch.) Everywhere I visit, there is a basket of zucchini and squash sitting on the counter. Since squash is extremely abundant this time of year, I’m always looking for new ways to eat it. I love the sweet flavor from squash and this recipe compliments it fabulously.
Hey folks! I hope y’all had an amazing holiday weekend. I know I sure did. My family and I got to spend time with my lifelong friend and her family and it was fabulous. (You may recall my dear friend Jessica from a post I wrote last year. We made the cutest sign to announce her pregnancy.) While I was there, I picked up some great new recipes to share with you all. First on the list is this deliciously sweet Broccoli Cauliflower Salad. You guys are gonna love it. It’s a little sweet and a little salty from the bacon and it is oh so good.
