I don’t know about y’all but I have been thoroughly enjoying summer break so far! It’s been nothing but rest and relaxation for me! The motivation is finally starting to kick back in and I’m finally ready to tackle spring cleaning. Yes, I’m a little late but better late than never. The close in my child’s closet can hang on their own even without hangers cause there is way too many! So, it’s first on my list! The other thing I have been tackling is the grill! Welcome to Funtastic Friday #76!
School’s out for summer and my PTO reign is over…for now! I handed over my binder and keys yesterday. It was a bitter sweet moment. Sweet because I will have more time to devote to my family but bitter because it’s the end of an era. My kiddo is moving to Middle School which means my time on an Elementary PTO has come to an end for good. There are so many wonderful people and volunteer opportunities I will miss…I could go on forever, but I won’t. Let’s get down to the real reason you are here…Party Time! I’m so excited! Only a week and a half until school is out!!! I could not be more ready! I’m looking forward to spending time with my family, relaxing, and devoting some much needed time to the blog! I have lot’s of fun new ideas coming your way soon! In the meantime, I know a lot of you are knee deep into spring and summer sports, camping, traveling, and boating. Welcome to Funtastic Friday Link Party #74! I have had three of the most insanely busy weeks with PTO and all things school related! I’m sure you can tell by now that I am obviously not super mom. I just can’t find the time to get it all done. Right now is that moment when I wonder how some women make it look so easy??? I am truly great full for my wonderful husband, because without him I may have lost my sense of humor. He is an extremely supportive man who helps me get through everything! Next week I will be back to the regularly scheduled program and pumping out new posts! One of my favorite things to do as a PTO President is to spoil the teachers! It’s been a wonderful week of food, decorations and fun! I can’t wait to tell you all about it next week! I just need a little spare time to get it all set up just right! In the meantime, it’s Mother’s Day weekend…yay!!! I am so ready! I get to take my 7th annual Mother’s Day getaway trip with my girlfriends! So, while I’m gone I want to leave you with a fabulous recipe that would be great for Mother’s Day. Welcome to Funtastic Friday Link Party #72! Whew! It’s been a hopping week in my neck of the woods! All has been revealed for next week’s Teacher Appreciation Week so I can finally spill the beans. We are doing an Alice in Wonderland theme and it’s going to be over the top! I can’t wait until all the decorations are in place to show you how it turns out. The menu is fabulous and we think the teachers and staff are going feel appreciated! Welcome to Funtastic Friday Link Party #71! Did you know that April is Volunteer Appreciation Month? I didn’t until I heard it on the radio the other day. That explains why the kiddo’s school does a volunteer breakfast in April every year! At the beginning of the school year I made some cute PTO Survival Kits for all of the PTO Officers and for our volunteers of the month throughout the year. It’s the perfect way to survive the PTO apocalypse and an inexpensive gift to give to those hardworking volunteers! Welcome to Funtastic Friday Link Party #70! Last week was my first time to co-host Funtastic Friday and I had so much fun! I had the chance to meet many bloggers over the week and it’s been a fantastic experience! On the home front, it has been busy busy busy! I have been working on many upcoming PTO events at the kiddos school. We had a teacher luncheon on Tuesday and we are in full planning mode for Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s only a little over 2 weeks away. (insert hysterical laughter here!) Somehow it will all get done, it always does.
